                              Professor Larry Tung

                              Professor Tung, a native of Taipei, Taiwan, was a political reporter for the English-language Taiwan news before moving to the United States.  His documentary, Daughters from China, received the Best Documentary prize in the Honolulu Festival in 2005, and has been featured in the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.  His recent documentary Envisioning Justice has been featured in the New Fest, San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival, and Rhode Island International Film Festival.  Professor Tung is an Assistant Professor in the Media & Film program and  an independent media artist. He is also a columnist to the Online Journalism Award-winning Gotham Gazette.
